Finding a good tailor is not an easy matter! A great deal of experience and dedication is needed to produce a well cut dress. People in Basta are lucky as Leyla Hamdan has recently expanded her tailoring business and is now ready to cope with the increasing demand for children and ladies' wear.

Leyla is also good at sewing wedding and soiree dresses: a skill that she learned through a technical training in tailoring led by the Village Business Incubator (VBI).

Besides, Leyla has also strengthened her knowledge in business management through the basic and advanced trainings conducted by the VBI. Leyla likes to innovate and often experiments with new designs, mainly inspired by the fashion trends followed in Lattakia. She is also particularly good at producing bags. Indeed, Layla is the reference point in Basta for those who want to look smart and elegant without the burden of shopping outside the village.
