Embroidering and knitting is an old fashioned job which is still have huge popularity with time passing. Regarding this high demand for such job an ever increasing number of workshops for embroidering is being created and operated in the governorate of Lattakia.

Naqia Kiwan had worked in an embroidery workshop for a period of time, before she had had a fond for it pretty well before she decided after three years that she had finally acquired the necessary experience and competence for starting her own business in the same field right in her village. This way, Naqia , can increase her self confidence,  afford for her personal expenses as well as she can assist her family in bearing some of its financial burdens. Naqia , has started her workshop in a very small room in her village. Naqia’s participation in the VBI’s business management sessions has had the major role in empowering her for managing her business and employees in a very efficient and effective way.

Naqia started her own workshop two years ago when she had only two employees. Now she is working with eight employees from her village in the same workshop.
