Ms. Ghaida Mardine is a very active and entrepreneurial Lady of Ain al Tineh and mother of the lovely May and Mayis. In 2005 Ghaida has seized the opportunity of the Village Business Incubator Project to study her enterprise idea: a bijouterie workshop.

Ghaida has followed the basic managerial courses organized by the Village Business Incubator and improved her skills through technical sessions in bijoux making. This training provides her with exiting idea s for new models that she sold successfully at the village level. Ghaida has also understood the importance of innovation and decided to take the plunge with new and original designs. Through the help of the VBI, Ghaida met Ms. Olga and Mr. Samer Kozah, art gallerists in Damascus. Olga is a terrific jewel designer appreciated for the elegance and sophistication of her pieces. Olga has volunteered to support Ghaida in enhancing her creativity and strengthening her technical skills.

Through her pieces, Ghaida gives shape to her imagination and emotions; she enjoys provoking through unusual combinations of real pearls, shells and stones collected in the wild which make her bijoux unique and fascinating. Indeed, wearing a Mayis' bijoux is like wearing a piece of Syria!
