Nowadays, and after the emerging
of numerous kinds of manufactured chemical soaps, few villagers have
maintained the natural type of producing laurel soaps as a rooted
historic tradition.
One out of this few was Mrs. Faida Hamdan, is a lady originated from Al
Moroj village has kept the natural laurel soaps.
She justified her obsession for natural soaps with her fond for every
thing that is mother–nature oriented or sourced. When Mrs Faida heard
about the VBI, she felt that the concept of her long dreamed about
project, which entails manufacturing natural soaps without any heat
application, will finally come true. She attended the training sessions
of the VBI, managerial and technical.
The VBI successfully improved her skills in natural production of soap
through a Lebanese skilled trainer, expert and innovative in natural
soap production using natural oils of laurel, almond, olive, chamomile,
jasmine, black seed.
Faida now produces natural soap that is the best in quality and smell.
