Sawsan - delicious dairy products

 

Sawsan al Maher is a very enthusiastic woman from the village of Baiader al Derra. She takes care of her lovely children and her house while supporting her husband in his business activity.

Sawsan is known in the village as an expert dairy producer. Her production include traditional specialties such as the “the villager’s cheese” and shenkleesh.

She is determined to work hand in hand with her husband with a view to ensure a better future for their children.
In this perspective she has seized the opportunity of the Village Business Incubator to set up a small dairy workshop.

Through the VBI, Sawsan has benefited from the support of an Italian dairy expert who assisted her in diversifying her production.

Today, Sawsan is producing not only the traditional cheese but also the Italian cheese “provola”, “mozzarella” and “ricotta”.

Sawsan looks forward to expand her production and is determined to go beyond the village market to satisfy the demand in Lattakia and Damascus.
