The Village Business Incubator
The Village Business Incubator (VBI) is a service centre for the development of female entrepreneurship in rural areas of the Lattakia Governorate – Syria. It operates within the framework of a development cooperation Project implemented by the Fund for Integrated Rural Development Of Syria (FIRDOS), with the technical assistance of the Italian Association for Women in Development (AIDOS) and with funding from European Union (EU), IFAD, FIRDOS and AIDOS.

Based on the results of a study undertaken by the Village Business Incubator (VBI) of Ain Al-Tineh on the Bee-Keeping sector in the area and a consequent needs assessment procedure, The Village Business Incubator (VBI) in Ain Al- Tineh is organizing a workshop on "Bees' Diseases and Bee-Keeping Problems" during the period March 29-31, 2009.
The objective of the workshop is to identify
problems encountering bee-keepers in the area that lead to the
remarkable low production of honey, despite being a good environment for
bee keeping, and try to collaboratively reach possible solutions.
Workshop is conducted by the Italian Expert, Ms. Claudia Bruschini. and
the VBI forwarded the invitation to bee- keepers in Ain Al- Tineh, a
number of national experts from Tishreen University and engineers from
the agricultural directorate in Lattakia.
