On the 7th of June 2007 an opening ceremony took place in the incubator, attended by Mrs. Asma Al- Assad the CEO of the Syria Trust for Development, joined by political, governmental, and social members of society. During this ceremony Ms. Asma Al- Assad distributed certificates to the beneficiaries who have established their enterprises.27/6/2007
The VBI participated in "project day" organized by the European Commission Delegation. The women entrepreneurs' products and activities were displayed at this fair.29/8/2007
The VBI organized exhibition "Authenticity is a Great Heritage" in cooperation with the Directory of Agriculture in Lattakia. The women entrepreneurs exhibited and sold their products. The exhibition was huge opportunity for the women supported by the VBI to acquaint on the others experiences for the rural women in Lattakia.August /2007
Barbara Sbrocca- Italian expert in marketing and communication- came to the VBI as a volunteer, to estimate the team's ability in promotion and communication, and to transfer part of her experience to the team in a capacity building courses. For the time being she keeps her visits, technical support in the fields of Promotion, Communication skills, and Public relations.2/9/2007
The VBI organized workshop for ten days in cooperation with the Syrian Family Planning Association. The workshop included sensitization sessions for woman and men about the gender, reproductive health, and family planning.14/9/2007
In an informal visit, Members from European parliament has accepted the invitation to visit the VBI, during it, they met the VBI team and visited some of businesses supported by the VBI.8/9/2007
Within the activities of the Ugarita Festival for Culture, Mr.Zahed Haj Musa the Mayor of Lattakia cut the ribbon of the heritage exhibition organized by the Village Business Incubator for the businesses supported by the VBI in the national museum in Lattakia in the presence of Mrs. Yasmina Azhary and others notables of Lattakia.5/10/2007
VBI participated in the trade fair "Ramadan Le Lkoul" organized by The Ministry of Social Affair and Labor at Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus, for two days.
Through it the VBI beneficiaries had the opportunity to show and sell their products.7/12/2007
The Syria Trust for Development has offered the VBI beneficiaries small stand in the Diplomatic Bazaar held in Merdien hotel in Damascus for one day.14-15/12/2007
A presentation of the VBI Project and an exhibition of handicraft products of the VBI-supported enterprises was organized in Venice (Italy) at the Giorgione Hotel.The event, entitled 'Female entrepreneurship for development: a cooperation between Syria and Italy, was organized by AIDOS Representative in Syria, Ms. Valentina Sommacal. The presentation was attended by 50 guests from Venice and the Veneto Region who expressed interest for this development experience and its outcomes.
