The VBI staff visits the Jordanian NGO "Noor al Hussein Foundation"
during a one-week Study Tour aimed at exploring the Jordanian experience
in micro enterprise development and meeting organizations working in
this field.

The Village
Business Incubator and GEF (Global Environment Facility of UNDP) feature
a one day seminar entitled "Ecotourism: valorizing our environment,
promoting our economy". The Seminar addressed the local community living
in the VBI target area and aimed at sensitizing on the target area
potential for eco-tourists activities. Program Officer from the
Agronomic Institute of the Mediterranean of Bari (IAM) to present the
experience of promoting eco-tourism in Idleb along with two eco
touristic guides and conservationists from Palmyra.

The Italian agronomist Ms. Nadia Chianese holds a meeting at the VBI
with representatives of the agricultural extension of Ain al Tineh,
local authorities and community members to present the first outcomes of
her study on the possibility to start up a caper production in the VBI
target area.
