2008 Achievements

·         The 7th mobilization and information campaign was conducted by the VBI Local Promoters. More than 120 women were sensitized on the importance of female entrepreneurship.

·         18 entrepreneurs prepared their own business plan and 7 of them were granted a loan to start up their businesses.

·         The capacity of the VBI staff was further strengthened through three technical assistance missions by the expert in enterprise development.

·         180 counseling sessions have been done.

·        Two workshops organized in cooperation with the Syrian Family Planning Association, these workshops attended by 10 ladies and 8 

·       The VBI  in cooperation with the Directory of Monuments and Museums in Lattakia offered  the  VBI entrepreneurs small stand in Salah El-Din castle to display and sell their products.

·       Mr. Samer Kouzah, owner of Kouzah Art Gallery granted VBI entrepreneurs a stand in his gallery in old Damascus to sell their products.
